Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is the largest of the Navy's
five systems commands. NAVSEA engineers, builds and supports America's
Fleet of ships and combat systems.
The nearly 50,000 NAVSEA team members serve the Fleet in four shipyards,
the undersea and surface warfare centers, at major shipbuilding
locations and the Navy headquarters.
Maintenance and training are key elements for preparedness. Not
to many years ago, ships carried literally tons of paper in the
form of Technical Manuals for equipment maintenance. In the mid-1980's
the Navy embarked on a program to digitize this documentation. It
was during this time that Docucon Imaging Services first became
involved with the Department of Defense, performing a variety of
document conversion services. We have converted Tech Manuals, drawings,
schematics, aperture cards and mil specs and standards to digital
